NUVARING ACTION MECHANISM
Nuvaring contains two hormones: estrogen and progestin are combination hormonal contraceptives that act by suppression of gonadotropins which work together to prevent your ovaries from producing mature eggs.
Although inhibition of ovulation is primary effect of Nuvaring, other effects include changes in cervical mucus causing difficulty of sperm entry into uterus and endometrium changes resulting in lower implantation rates.

Nuvaring is a flexible ring about 2” in diameter that you insert vaginally for three weeks once a month to prevent pregnancy.
