AMOXICILLIN ACTION MECHANISM
Amoxicillin binds to penicillin-binding protein 1A (PBP-1A) located inside bacterial cell wall. Amoxicillin's action mechanism involves inhibition of third stage bacterial cell wall biosynthesis thereby preventing peptidoglycan cross-linking. Inability to synthesize cell wall leads to lyses of bacteria.

Capsules, tablets and powder for oral suspension of Amoxicillin are available for oral administration. Take Amoxicillin dosage as recommended by your health care professional. It is usually prescribed to be taken with or without food.
