Nexium is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cell. By acting specifically on proton pump, Nexium blocks final step in acid production, thus reducing gastric acidity.
NEXIUM DOSAGE
Take Nexium exactly as prescribed by your medical professional which is usually prescribed for 4 to 8 weeks only. Nexium is usually recommended to be taken at least one hour before meal with a full glass of water.
NEXIUM ADVANTAGES
Nexium is also found to be effective in prevention of gastric ulcer caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori, or by use of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Less serious side effects of Nexium dosage include headache, diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, gas, constipation; or dry mouth.
