ARIMIDEX ACTION MECHANISM

Arimidex acts by binding reversibly to aromatase enzyme through competitive inhibition and inhibiting conversion of androgens to estrogens in peripheral tissues (outside CNS), and few CNS sites in various regions within brain. Thus, Arimidex Blocks Estrogen production and prevent cancer progression.

ARIMIDEX DOSAGE

Usual recommended dose of Arimidex is 1 mg tablet taken per day on regular basis and at regular intervals. Arimidex is an oral medication and generally taken with a glass of water. You can take Arimidex medicine with or without having your food.

Arimidex is quite effective and mostly prescribed medication in treatment of post menopausal cancer.

ARIMIDEX SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects of Arimidex that usually do not require medical attention include headache, weakness or tiredness, weight gain, back or bone pain, cough or throat infection, diarrhea or constipation, hot flashes, loss of appetite, dizziness, nausea and sweating.

While serious side effects of Arimidex that require medical emergency include any new or unusual symptoms, breathing problems, chest pain, leg pain or swelling ,vomiting and adverse allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of face, lips or tongue.
